Bio
Jun Pagalilauan is an Architect by profession.
He is born to appreciate design and the languages of Fine Art Photography. This introduces himself through his photos. Jun's vision in photography portrays openness, embraces true emotions, and the power of storytelling and the characterization of imagery matters the most. His style does not conform to mainstream and popular media culture and general public hype but rather he aims to captivate the value of genuine work of art captured through his lens and conveyed through his photographs.
His recent international recognitions was granted by 2020 Budapest International Foto Awards for Portfolio-2nd Place and Gold for Architecture and Book Category, LE PRIX DE LA PHOTOGRAPHIE DE PARIS (PX3) for Book and Architecture Category (Gold and Bronze), 12th NCCA Ani ng Dangal Awards ( Harvest of Honors), Visual Arts-Philippines. The 2019 International Photo Awards for Fine Art-Book Category (3rd Place). 2018 Tokyo International Foto Awards for Architecture and Portfolio (Gold). The 2017 Outstanding Cagayano Awards- Gold Medal for Arts. ND Awards, London in 2017 for 2nd Place Architecture- Interior Category, The Epson Pano Awards Bronze Awardee, and Moscow International Foto Awards 2nd Place for Advertising. 2016 Lucie Awards, New York, Finalist for both Deeper Perspective Award and Best New Talent. 2016 IPA- Philippines for winning Deeper Perspective Award and Best New Talent. Moscow International Foto Awards in 2015 for First Place - Portfolio and 2014 Prix de la Photographie, Paris Bronze Award under Landscape Category.
Most of his works are exhibited locally and internationally sponsored by government and private entities. His significant exhibits include The World through the Eyes of a Filipino Lensman, Singapore- 2020, LIMITLESS in Manila-2019, PAG-ASA Bohol Charity Exhibit, Singapore- 2017, IPA Photo Awards in New York and BEYOND MONOCHROME, A Black and White Fine Art Photography Exhibit in Manila both in 2016.
